Pat Cluett

Client Ambassador

A passionate and driven professional, Pat worked in the hospitality industry for more than 25 years with a focus on Sales and Marketing.  After studying Tourism and Hospitality, Pat started out in Guest Services and Accounting where she learned to pay attention to the details and provide service with a smile. These skills allowed her to be highly successful in hotel sales and she gained a reputation for providing stellar customer service.

Her diverse background includes event planning, communications, marketing, fundraising, tourism and corporate travel management. Pat has served as a board member for the Milton District Hospital Auxiliary since 2018 and curates a local holiday event and butter tart festival.

Pat loves to spend time with her family and finds joy in every season ~ new life, flowers and tree blossoms in Spring; barbecues and swimming in Summer; vibrant colours and fresh air in the Fall; snow falling, crackling fire, and hot chocolate in Winter. Pat seldom says ‘no’ to dessert and enjoys coffee, chocolate, and a good book any time ~ day or night.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be? – I would love to visit Malta and find out more about my family history.  Other places on the list would be: Hawaii, Belize, and Fiji

What is your favourite childhood memory? – Our extended family would spend Thanksgiving weekend in Niagara Falls every year growing up. It was a very different experience in the 70s.  We would spend the weekend swimming, visiting attractions, eating out and cross the border into the United States to shop. We would go to the Ponderosa for dinner. Two adults and four kids could eat for $20 and that included a drink and dessert.

What teacher made the most impact on you and why? – Mr. Mann was our Grade 11 History teacher. Up until his class, I really had no interest in the subject.  He made it fun by combining history with drama and allowing us to experience moments in history by acting it out and presenting it in an engaging format. The whole class was hooked on history that year.

Nicknames growing up? – Patty Lynn. My sister and her friends nicknamed me “Patey” pronounced like the food pâté. Friends called me Pit Pat Rat a Tat.  To this day, family and friends still use these nicknames
